Aftermarket lamp for the 365 series, cross-referenced to N4101036. The 365 series appears with more than one lamp part number and this is one of them, the other being N4101037, so read the number off the lamp that is fitted rather than ordering by the instrument name. That is the commonest way an order for this detector goes back. Being a flash detector, it also holds the lamp on for the whole collection run, so hours accumulate faster than the number of purifications suggests.

This lamp has no RFID chip. Some detectors read a chip to log lamp hours. On those, an untagged lamp reports a tag error and will not ignite until you set the lamp type manually, and you reset the lamp-hours counter yourself afterwards. It runs normally once that is done. What that involves. If you would rather have the chipped version, say so and I will quote that instead.

Before you order: if the instrument is misbehaving, tell me the symptom, not the part number. Lamps and seals get replaced for problems they did not cause. The first look costs nothing, and if this part is not the fix, I will say so.

Lamp for ELSD detector

Aftermarket lamp for the ELSD, cross-referenced to 279000562. An ELSD measures light scattered by the dried aerosol, so a weakening source behaves differently from a failing UV lamp. Instead of a noisy baseline you get falling response to the same amount of analyte: calibration curves flatten and the bottom of the range goes first, which is easy to read as a sample preparation problem. If your low standards have stopped responding and the nebuliser and drift tube are clean, look at the source. Check the cross-reference against the lamp currently fitted before ordering, because these instruments were built in more than one configuration.

Aftermarket lamp for the 365 series, cross-referenced to N4101037. This is the second of the part numbers the 365 series appears with; the other is N4101036. The instrument badge will not tell you which one you have, so read the number off the lamp itself before ordering, and if the old label is unreadable send me a photograph of the housing and I will tell you which it is. Deep UV output is the first thing to fall as any deuterium lamp ages, so check the energy reading before assuming the lamp is finished.

Hollow cathode lamp for atomic absorption

Hollow cathode lamp for atomic absorption, cross-referenced to 10-405-502. A hollow cathode lamp is element specific, so it is not a generic spare: the lamp emits the line spectrum of the metal you are measuring and one will not substitute for another. Tell me the element and the instrument, not just the part number. These lamps also age from being switched on and off rather than from run time, so a lab measuring many elements a day wears them faster than one running a single method.

Lamp for iCE3 cIEF analyser

Lamp for the iCE3 cIEF analyser, cross-referenced to 102-235. Whole column imaging detection reads absorbance along the entire capillary at once rather than at a single point, so a lamp with uneven or falling output shows up as a baseline that slopes across the pI range rather than as general noise. Peaks at one end of the focus look wrong while the other end looks fine. If your pI markers have shifted relative to each other rather than together, the source is worth checking before the capillary.
